My Ride: 2005 BMW 545i, Titanium Silver. Bridgestone 760s on Weds Bavaria II 18" wheels, standard sport pack size. Sport, AT. Latest job - NGK Iridium IX plugs installed.

Good job, I gave up on trying to pull out the alternator mounting bracket once I realized it was attached to the motor mount. So far fixing the valve cover and timing chain cover has been enough on the front side, but there's more coming from the back of the engine

i just spent $500 fixing this at an independent shop. This was after the timing cover and valve covers being replaced separately. Hopefully this is the last leak from this stupid engine.

Allen, do you have to drain the engine oil before removing the alternator bracket? I'm a little confused about why there is a gasket there to begin with. Does oil circulate inside the alternator mount bracket?
