My Ride: 2007 530i. Purchased 6/28/07. Titanium Silver Metallic, Black Dakota Leather, Dark Poplar Trim, Steptronic, Premium Package, Cold Weather Package, Bluetooth, Adaptive Control Xenons. 10/30/07 Added OEM 124s with 245/40/18 & 275/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires. Installed red Cal Covers� from BavAuto. 11/21/07 Added OEM all-weather floor mats (for winter, carpet in summer) and coat rack. 6/26/08 installed M5-style rear spoiler. 6/30/08 put on red reflectors. 8/22/08 Euro turn signal stickers applied. 3/20/09 Installed Shadowline Trim. 3/27/09 Added Matte Black Kidney Grilles from Trinity. 4/03/09 Installed Bimmian Shadow Matte Black 530i Badges. 4/04/09 Installed LED license plate lights from Trinity. 5/01/09 Installed Brabus Interior LED Kit and White Angel Eyes. 5/02/09 Put in Brabus 6K Fogs. 5/14/09 Removed charcoal filter. 5/15/09 Installed light smoke LED side marker lamps from Trinity. 5/21/09 Sprint Booster. 6/12/09 Painted exhaust tips flat black. 6/13/09 Pulled red Cal Covers and painted calipers low gloss black. 6/27/09 RPI Ram Air Scoop from Trinity. 8/15/09 Installed Brabus's silver invisibulbs front and rear. 9/24/09 Installed R-Dash license plate LEDs from Brabaus (John).
I bought the same one about this time last year and was then advised to wait until it was at least 65F on a regular basis. It was wasting away on a shelf for several months. You still may be able to salvage it however. I would get a common hairdryer and heat the spolier up along the adhesive, then tape it down (with pressure) in perpendicular strips (won't hurt your paint) starting on the top of the boot lid and pulling the tape across the spoiler and down toward the bumper. Do both ends and the middle, or it likely will pop up again, just in a different place. Then, go back and forth over the spoiler with the dryer to heat it and make it more malleable. Leave it taped as long as you can--at least a day. GL!

If you plan to leave it on I would use epoxy on the ends and weigh it down for 24 hours, don't let dirt get under there or it will never adhere properly.

I just went outside to see what i could do to stop dirt gettin under and ended up trying to lift it off where it was already coming away, came off so easily, in less than a minute with very little pressure and no damage to paintwork! It came with 3M tape around it already and i just peeled this off and stuck it down, im guessing the 3m tape is probably a chinese replica aswel lol because it really wasnt sticky at all. Thanks for all the help guys and i guess im just going to have to wait for some sun in this rainy, cold country lol.

Just an update for anyone else looking at doing this, dont waste your time with some cheap tape, like what came with the replica spoiler. BMW part No. 51628040053 is the double sided sticky tape used on the M5 to stick the spoiler on, picked mine up, and couldn't wait for summer, im too impatient like that! lol if installing in the cold just warm the trunk lid and spoiler up with a hairdryer until you can feel the spoiler has gone a little soft and then apply and keep heat on it for 10-15mins you must also tape it down and then cover with cloth and weigh the spoiler down over night as many people have already suggested, seems to have worked for me eventhough its freezing outside Thanks guys.

yeahh I did that this afternoon when I was at my office.. it was a pain , that tape looks like crazy glue man... not even acetone will clean that MF..had to used a couple of razor blades
