You can get the 20% discount from car mags like Motor Trend, Car and Driver, or Road & Track. The pneumatic air tool need a least 3 CFM @ 90 psi compressor.

They had an air tool for $19 but my compressor can't run a saw for an exended period.

Are these vents actually venting something or they are just for looks?

They won't vent anything in the e60. I was wanting to know if they vented anything in the M5.

I keep looking to see if there is a way to get some engine bay venting out those sides but it doesn't look too feasible. I generally try to avoid fake vents, scoops, etc on my cars but I think I wll make an exception for these.

Har har, we do do a lot of things to improve the looks after all. Modding in general doesn't make any sense for the most part -- financially or otherwise (though convenience and other stuff can be argued), so they're just nice/awesome to have

You mean I'm not going to get my money back out of my mods! I convinced my wife I was making an "investment"

putting mods will never get the money back that you paid.

Addendum:
If for some reason you cannot make the grille to fit flush with the fender, try grinding the bonding glue on the car
that may be in contact with the back of the grille (yellow star) or grinding some plastic off where the red marking is at.

Here's Simon's DIY on his "Shark Gills" (no wonder I couldn't find it).
