By any chance do you still have the measurement of where the grill should be located above the side markers and how far from the edge? Really want to this cheap mod soon but there is no M5 around here for me to measure and the nearest BMW dealer is around 45 minutes away.

Start by putting overlapping painter's blue tape on the area,
This is showing car's left (driver's) side. Take note of the grilles shape and orientation.
Draw a horizontal line B, 1 1/2 inches below line A.
Draw vertical line C, 2 1/4 inches from line D.
Use appropriate plastic piece (from picture #1 of post #1, top or bottom piece) and trace shape onto the tape.
You would then need to make a cut (shown in yellow) to clear the metal inside the fender. Do this after the hole is cut to
determine where to make the cut. The other piece with the louver-like thingy does not need any cutting or modification.
Make sure to grab hold of the metal piece when finishing the opening, it's a bitch to get it out of the fender if you drop it

I had to unscrew the wheel well plastic liner just to get it :thumbsdown: .

I found that same saw at Harbor Freight for $28 -no discount for me 
Came with 2 blades.
They had an air tool for $19 but my compressor can't run a saw for an exended period.
