You were definitely low on fluid. When you pulled the fill hole and tried to add fluid after a few pumps you should have had fluid coming out with a steady stream. If I remember correctly I had between 6 to 7 liters come out when I did mine. If your trans has not had an erroneous fluid change you should see where it was leaking fluid.

I didn't really see any tranny leaks, the oil pan is leaking so all I could see was oil. The mechatronic sleeve was actually not leaking, still replacing it anyway. Someone had done a fluid change, guess it's possible they didn't get it right, we have only put 1500 miles on the car with alot being a mile to school and back every day. Tranny has always shifted erratically since we owned it. Hoping new solenoids, and seals will get it working again. Now I'm sure I was still low on fluid, hopefully that will get the back tires turning again! Out of curiosity, how much fluid should come out if it's properly filled and you pull the drain plug? Is it a cup, a half quart, a quart?

Between 6 to 7 liters. I'm sure your issue with the trans was the lack of fluid. I'm surprised you did not get a trans fault that stayed.

HELP!!!!!!!! Ok, I got 6 1/2 quarts in the pan, waiting for it to cool off enough to do finally fluid check. Problem is the trans seems to still not be working. What I mean is that the back tires are not turning. The engine rpm does change as you shift gears, and I've checked with my Foxwell scanner, it is registering it's in the correct t gear. I did see the driveshaft start to turn as I was putting on fluid underneath, I assumed my wife applied the brakes to stop it. Any ideas what it could be?? I did reset the adaptations/values as a last did effort, still nothing. I do have the Foxwell 510 scanner, so if your familiar with that it will do anything you need to the car. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Next step is tranny shop if I can't get it to go.....

All you were doing was a drain and fill. What were the codes you pulled from the trans? Also what fluid are you using.

It was usually the 4f85 shift not found, I would clear it and it would work "fine", still shifted hard but worked. When it quit this time I just cleared the codes cause I thought it was the same old same old, never even.looked at the codes. On the screen it was the same trans fault it normally throws. It's currently not throwing any codes, I think because the tranny is not turning the rear end for whatever reason.

What type of fluid did you put in? Just do the refill procedure then put it on the ground. If you were not getting codes or idrive errors you should be fine unless your fluid is wrong

That would be awesome if that's all it is, rather lose $100 worth of fluid vs trip to tranny shop. What would you recommend of the fluid I have is wrong?
