I am trying to replace the stock 4300K Xenon bulb with 6000K Xenon bulb but I am having difficulties in removing the bulb from the socket. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. This is part of my projects.
Projects:
1. Replace the stock fog light with HID. ===> Done.
2. Replace the grill with chrome one. ===> Waiting for package.
3. Replact the stock Xenon 4300K bulb with 6000K. ===> Having difficulties.
4. Upgrade the yellow Angel Eye with Predator ICE? - OE Upgrade Angel Eyes. On sale now for $119. ===> Waiting for package (http://www.umnitza.com/product_info....oducts_id=1111).![Whistling](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/whistling.gif)

Hi,
You don't need to remove the headlights or front bumper! Just take off the top screews from the headlight assembly (2 or 3!). Now you can move the headlights forward with care and get space to replace the bulbs!. Unplug the factory bulbs (unclock rotate!) and place the new's one without finger contact from the glass bulbs. If it happened the bulbs will probably be damaged in short time.
Good luck

Yes, I was able to remove the bulb assembly from the housing but I was unable to unplug the bulb from the socket. I did not want to force and break the socket. Any advise.
Thanks
Thanks

I heard some of the newer E60's Xenon bulb is sealed and only the dealer could change them.

Yes, it did had a square type box attached to the bulb. It must be the integrated starter like you mentioned. Wonder how much the dealer is going to charge.

Yes, on the MY 2007 the bulbs are type D1S. These bulbs have an integrated starter.

That might just be the ballast and igniter. No big deal, all xenons have them. Try having a second look, a lot of my friends did it on the 5s, easy job. I'll ask them if they did something different.
