Has anyone installed manual or remote control version of the hiden license plates or has a write up of success and failure? There's definately an increase in moving/non-moving violations and as far as the eye can see and I m making plans to slap this license holder on. this looks promissing!
I have replica M5 front bumper.
Cheers!

I just installed one myself on my rep front bumper a few weeks ago. I ordered mine from Swift. The motor sounds cheap like it's going to give out in a few months. It has the cool factor though. I had to use WD-40 on the tract because it would get stuck when going back in.
It was a pain for me to install. I don't have one of those dremel tools, so cutting the mesh took a while to make it look clean. I didn't want to mount it under the bumper as I was afraid of it scraping a speed bump or driveway.
Best part is, you don't have to drill holes in your bumper.

Looks kinda cool ... but I have a feeling the elements would kill the tracks and the motor pretty fast! I guess it's also one of those things that you're not gonna be using several times a day either!

Darn Gene, you're quicker than a cat, thanks man. I forgot about this post.
Yeah, I agree the mechanics may be no match for the elements, is why I might go ghetto and do manual just enough to keep our law officers looking elsewhere.
John Brabusman, how long have you had this and any performance issues? do you have to take off bumper or cut mesh to install? Anyone? Thanks.
