Thumbs up

Guys:
A little help please. My right rear tire has developed slow leak. I am trying to take the rim off and check for any FOD (foreign object damage) or screws/nails stuck in tire.

Maybe I am missing something, but after taking the lugs off, the rim won't release from rotor. Is there a locking device under the center cap? Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Jimbo

Thanks, used the dead blow and it popped off after a few hits to the tire...
A little rust between centering ring and rim.

Just didn't want to %&#$ it up.
Thanks,
Jimbo

To prevent this in the future, put some anti-seize compound on the hub flange/centering ring and face where the wheel mounts to the hub. Did this on my retired BMW and the wheels came off with no effort every time.

Before jacking loosen the lugs about 1 ? or 2 turns and rock the car from side to side.
