Help PLEASE! Cant remove rear rotors..tried everything!!
#11
I was able to bang off the rear rotors after spraying in some WD-40 and waiting. However, I was not able to remove them because the rear brake carriers were still in place. Try as I might, I could not turn the bolts that hold those in. In the PDF it says they are tightened to 110 Nm. How did you manage to take them off?

good deal what kind of rotors and pads are you using and are you going to paint the calipers while you are down. I also painted my rotor face with high temp black paint.
The pads wore off the paint in the bedding process and now I don't have to worry about the rust on the rotor hat or in the drilled holes or slotts it also looks good with the silver then dark contrast.

I bought some cross drilled slotted rotors with posiquite oem pads. I was planing to paint the caliper Grey but think I am going with black as well. As everything else on my car is black.
On another note.. Did you install new rotors and pads? If so did they make a rubbing noise when you went on the test drive?

Yes I did replace both no there was no noise at all I did smell a burning smell when bedding them though, and the bedding process took a little longer since I painted the rotors with the high temp black paint.
All good now as far as the brakes no noise no dust just pure stopping power.
But now I have other problems some bastard just hit my parked car and did not leave a note or anything another post with pics to follow damit

My process was 4 to 5 firm but progressivly harder stops from about 20 then 30 then 40 up to 60 all to a complete stop.
Then 3 rapid slow downs riding the brakes then look at the rotors and you should see that the rotors a touched evenly to see that they are bedded correctly.
If I told him wrong guys correct me but that is how I bedded mine and that was accoring to the literature enclosed in my pad box.
