I think that it is plug and play for those of you with Navigation and the CCC. As far as I can tell if you have M-ASK and no navigation (like me and DrumGuruEC) then the iPod option must be enabled in the iDrive, even if you have a CD changer installed and operating.

You're right. if you have M-ASK, you always need programming. Even if you have cd-changer and mp3.
