Sorry guys. Thought I saved this thread but, apparently NO.

Used the "search" function with no success. Have I ever complained that the google search function on E60 is useless? Well I do know!!!

Can someone please direct me to the right thread for polishing the headlights.

Thanks buddy! That's exactly what I was looking for. For some reason, me and the search function just don't seem to get along.

Hope you can find the time to redo your headlights! Just don't forget the sealant, or your headlights will yellow like a 98 Honda

There's companies that mak Acrylic sealant for these purposes. It's sort of like putting wax on your paint...

I think detailers domain might have some....

I kind of screwed up pops' headlights by using the 3m kit lol.. By learning from my mistakes, and reading online, I took the 3 inch pad that came with the kit, attached it to my drill, and buffed out the headlights, side markers and fogs by applying rubbing compound only. NO sanding.

Try that first.. it worked for me. If that doesn't work, wet sand the lights using 2000 grit sand paper, and then buff out with rubbing compound.. make sure you tape around the areas that you're sanding/buffing.

Sorry for this sloppy half @ss DIY..

Good luck
