I JUST WANTED TO SEE IF ANY OF YOU HAVE THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION????

Can we get HD Radio and Prem Sound by updating our cars software????

No, HD is a different piece of hardware that includes a Digital Receiver to receive the specific signal. The Radio MFR must get a license from the patent holder for the right to include this in any HD capable receiver they might make.

Premium sound is a set of specific hardware also including upgraded and more speakers and a different amp. The PROGMAN (car) software does need to know which system you have, but it does MAKE a premuim saound capable system.
