My Ride: May 2004 525 Amethyst grey, Heated front seats, bluetooth prep, Adaptive Xenons, 6 CD changer, Front & Rear PDC, retro-fit 6 DVD changer in boot (trunk) with remote control plus headrest screens and IR headphones, Playstation connection to cabin, twin 12v outlets in rear cabin
I have a centurion 6 DVD changer in the boot (trunk) of my 2004 525 and it has a spare input which takes a normal Sony Playstation AV cable.
The problem was finding a simple way to get the cable from the cabin where the playstation needs to be into the boot to connect to the DVD changer.
Simple solution: remove the black plastic cover exposed when the centre armrest is down , and drill a small hole just below the level of the catch. This gets you right into the boot at a high enough level to be almost invisible, and the cable can be tucked out of the way behind the cross-member behind the rear seat. When the plastic cover is back on there is no way to see the modification.
Bingo - the kids now have either nine hours of films to watch or whatever their favourite games. The means easier journeys for me and the missus!
If anyone is interested I can provide some pictures.

Here are some pictures of this simple job.
The first one shows the completed job with everything back in place, and the second the two small fixtures that have to be pulled out to allow removal of the trim behind the centre arm rest.
The third shows the wire entering the boot/trunk from the cabin side, and the fourth from the boot/trunk side.
The last one is just the cables plugged into the back of the DVD changer.
Hope this is all reasonably clear.

I got it as part of a package about a year ago (DVD, Remote control, twin screens two IR headphones) but it is currently available in the UK for 254 pounds sterling. The web address of the company I used is

Apologies for delay in replying - been away for a few days. The changer plays DVD, Video CD, CD and MP3 as far as I can tell from the front panel, but more recent models may do more - best to check the web site.
