My Ride: I have an 05 545i. It's a manual with a few options. This is my first BMW but I don't know how I'll ever be able to switch to something else.

Looks nice, compliments the pedals well. How much did you pay for the footrest?

how hard was it to install the gas/brake pedals?
I read online that you have to drill holes into the existing ones?

Yes, there's a need for drilling.
1. Remove the rubber pedals. They go just off.
2. Drill holes into metal pedals.
3. Attach the new ones.

Just got my OEM footrest, and going to attempt this.

My question is: how would the dealer "remove" the footrest? They quoted me an hour of labor for the install, and I can't see the dealership using a dremmel or a hot air gun to remove the plastic piece.

What do you think?

Well, the standard footrest is glued on, so they have to rip it off somehow...
