Fitting non runflats to e60

Hi, Fitted two new rear tyres yesterday to my E60 530d normally running on runflats, now i-drive is telling me that i have a punture? which i dont have, can anybody tell me please how to get over this warning, and cancell the message on the computer, many thanks Dave

when i changed my tires it said "FLAT TIRE". I put correct pressure to all tires and did a RESET. pretty easy. Is that what u asking? I don't know what punture is

it is necessary to reset the flat tire monitor when getting new tires

Ok Dave, with the ignition on but car not started, your idrive will show on the screen, when your idrive is in the normal setting, ie waiting for you to choose nav, entertainment, communication and climate, press the controller down. This will bring up the i menu, go to vehical settings and press the controller. Select RPA and press the controller. Start the engine, now select set tyre pressure and press controller, select yes and press controller, now drive off, the message initialising is displayed, which it does as you drive, it will then say status RPA active again.
I know this because I got 2 miles down the road from buying my car and this happined to me, turns out the stealer hadn't reset the system after servicing the car before I bought it

ps, your supposed to do this every time you adjust the tyre pressures, page 87 in the manual

Cheers Mick, Will try that tonight, forgot to say that i replaced the runflats with normal tyres! will this make any difference thanks Dave

It shouldn't, lots of people on here have changed to non runflats, btw, hope you've got a spare and jack in the boot (english for trunk )
