Cheers BLood - so the normal speakers can be swapped with L7 as well without adding an amp?

yes mate, they all have the same fittings. Just a side not though concerning bruces warning i notice that if i play it too loud for long the tweeters starting making cracking sounds which to me
sounds like the HU is starting to struggle.

Hey Blood,
I have a question:
I recently bought L7 mids, and wanted to mount them in my E61 this weekend. However I found out that the mounting holes are not at the same distance, the L7 speaker housing is a bit bigger?

And other than that: Is going from standard speakers to L7 mids an improvement at all? I see now previous post, which doubt the improvement..

Did you have the same problem mounting the L7 speakers and how did you solve it? Just making holes bigger, does that work?

The holes are the same size or at least they were for my E60.

How if there are no pre-wired tweeter cables in my e60? are there any possibilities to fix the tweeters in?
Because I bought the stage 1 upgrade and just relized that there are no tweeter cables
Any suggestions?
THANK YOU...

You wouldn't happen to have the parts number for the rear L7 tweeters you added? I have an E61 so there's no shelf and I might simply ask my bmw dealer what he would suggest but I'd appreciate to hear what you put in, which gave a good result. I', definetely considering adding the B65.13.6.978.631. tweeters up front as well as a pair in the back and then hearing out how it all sounds. If the bass is too low, I'm thinking of adding an amp and a pair of sws-8 subs as well but I wont if I can avoid it; don't want to have an amp with a fan going on and off all the time!

How exactly did you add the tweeters? Is there a preset port for them to go directly into? Any way you can post some pictures of the new tweeters installed. I'd like to do this to my '08 528i but not sure exactly how to do it. Thanks..

Does anyone here know how easy / difficult it is to 'upgrade' the subwoofer system in the Logic 7 setup? Mine is too boomy and I think it can be improved with a change of speaker / amp / input - but not sure where the amp is for these speakers - any upgrade options available?

Thanks in advance.
