My wife broke the switch that allows you to swing the rear glass open on wagons (E61)--used for such tasks as loading and unloading groceries without opening the hatch. I've already ordered the part from the local BMW dealer. Just wondering if anyone has replaced this part? What steps need to be performed and what type of tools will I need? Any help is appreciated.

TIA

Mine is playing up but I'm hoping its just a loose connection. Plan to pull appart the trim and get in to have a look so I'll let you know if I can work it out.

Better yet, anybody know how to do this without breaking anything in the process
