post #77 is not an option as im not after getting paddle shift kit fitted!
All i want to know now is can i install a pre-09/2005 slip ring on my post-09/2005 car to allow it to fit my pre-09/2005 steering wheel! If so i need to know part no for this slip ring and if it will simply fit!
I hope this is much clearer.
Thanks again

My Ride: BMW 530d titansilver, manual transmission
BMW 535d titansilver, automatic + AMG shift Paddles
I retrofitted the Mercedes AMG Aluminium Paddles, because the BMW Paddles were a bit too expensive for me.
The whole thing looks like :
Whole Cost: 120 euros for the slip ring, 55 for the paddles, and 10-15 euros for the whole electrical connectors etc.

Yeah...looks kinda' agricultural, originally the wheel was for paddle shifters, so I made some adapter plates, to be able to mount the smaller based AMG Paddles to the wheel
As I said...looks a bit improvised from behind, but while driving, they felt fantastic and worked great, and you only saw the paddles from the driver's seat.
