E60 550i Aux cooling fan motor replacement

I hope this thread is still good. I have an 08 550i. I was told by BMW that my fan needed to be replaced. I replaced it with a genuine BMW part. It was not a fun job. It's all hooked up and still no fan action. I also replaced the thermostat with sensor, and the lower radiator hose sensor.
Any suggestions? Fuse? Does the car need to be programmed to recognize the new fan?

Did you ever ever get to the bottom of this as I have the same problem with my e39 ? Cheers Jay

There are too many things that can cause your issue. It's best to scan the car via BMW code reader so you don't waste money replacing parts you don't need.
