I buy all my oil filters from www.germanfilters.com....they sell MANN filters which are OE on our cars.
If you buy them in a large quantity you can get them for about $5/piece

They have moth Mann and Mahle I believe. Free shipping for orders above $75 in case you need something else. Also, I see you're in chino hills, their warehouse is in el segundo and so so cali shipping usually is a day or two to receive your parts from time of order.

german filters have a different part number i dont know which one is correct the one on german filters or pelican parts
i have a 06 525i manual transmission, do they utilize different filters manual to automatic?
not sure the tranny has anything to do with it
anyone know/'.
