strut brace is what the dealer call it. The part I am talking about is the bar that goes form one strut to the other and it help to not let the body twist too much. I have searched and searhed and cant find the parts cauld somone please giude me to the right place.

I replaced all the bolts on mine because most of them had been stripped by some mechanic at some point in the past and they couldn't be tightened sufficiently. Took care of my thud problem. If you truly need to replace the whole bar it only involves removing the plastic covers in the area and removing 6 screws (two on each strut tower and two on the firewall)

Save the $500 for other mods and PM members pinguhk, tonymac, and pjinca. They started individual threads when they installed aftermarket braces on their cars. Or are you referring to the anti-roll sway bar?

if you want part numbers, go here: www.realoem.com

my guess is your front stabilizer end links are worn. the bar itself is a non-wear item....unless it got twisted or damaged somehow.

I think sway bar is the bar on the bottom of the vehicle, strut brace/bar is the one on top above the strut mounting point in the engine bay

The dealer called it (replace strut brace bracket or strut tower brace it is the car that goes form one stut to the other and also conects to the fire wall. I have done a million searches and cant find a strut tower brace for 2005 545i.
