im bored at work so ill give some input.

1. Use blow dryer put on hot or warm setting . about 30 seconds to 1 minute continue to heat the "5" then using waxed tooth floss try to wiggle it under "5". Use step for each number.
To remove sticky goo apply goo gone.

I got these tips from my search and found it to be easy.

+1 for Goo Gone, that stuff takes off any kind of glue residue.

It depends on what you like, A lot of people like the badge because it makes it look classier, others remove it because they like the symmetry. It's not hard to remove, I've done it with my bare NAIL! but do what you feel!

Nail... They must be strong...but I suppose that there's less chance of scratching the paint with a nail... worth the pain?

nail? that has to hurt. the stick tape is strong as hell. i know old friends before that would jack emblems and badges by sliding a credit card or something under it, and for sure that scratched the paint and it would even take them a certain amount of elbow grease. ive debadged some friends' cars before, and like many others, i would recommend a hairdryer and dental floss.

+Wd40 or similar penetrating fluid - It made my sticky tape go really soft. After the Wd40 and the heat, I think I could have worked the badge off without getting anything behind it.
