Now all I need to do is find the time to get the car to the dealer to be recoded. I need to take it in for the Passenger Airbag light issue and the steering wheel not retracting issue, so I think I will get them to do it then.
Overall, it was a fairly easy DIY (not as easy as the red reflectors, but pretty easy nonetheless). It remains to be seen whether it will work with my GSM v60, but there's nothing that would indicate that it won't.

I think you need to be running at least 11.2 software for the phone/eject box to be recognized.

The instructions only mentioned reprogramming the TCU (Telematics Control Unit?) to recognize the eject box

I purchased a 24 hour BMW TIS subscription last night and found out some interesting things. If your eject box has the letters M:05 or somesuch on the bottom, that's the latest version; the part number is the same.
I also did some more digging around my trunk and found two open coaxial connectors, one with a "barrel" attachment, both with magenta clips, wire-tied behind the little trunk cubby. I checked on the BMW TIS and there was a bulletin about the CPT9000/v60 system and it mentioned that you have to remove the little barrel connector and snap the two magenta coax cables together to complete the link from the eject box to the shark-fin antenna housing. I will do that tonight and hopefully make an appointment to have the TCU reprogrammed next week.
I also want them to look at my steering wheel not retracting, as well as the lack of a BMW Assist menu (it's there, it just says to contact my center) in the "Communication" section of iDrive. I went through the registration process over the phone with my CA, but I'm not sure if all the numbers were programmed into the TCU. I don't know if that gets done at the VPC or at the dealer before delivery.

Just passing along what I was told by the dealer.
I am assuming that since my ED car was held up at the VPC for a "Software Campaign," that I have 11.3 installed.

No problems at all.
