Interesting thread, I am noticing also some kind of wear in front suspension so decided to buy a new set on ebay.

I bought this set on Ebay for 239 Euros.

It has all the control arms. In the post you guys are talking about, are you also replacing all the arms? or just upper or lower arms??
Furthermore the following is not clear to me yet:

I assume you have to remove front wheels first, and put car on axle stands?
Then remove the control arms en refit the new ones.

However, One post states: make sure that your car is on its own weight before you tighten it? But how you do that, if the wheels are off?

This question may sound stupid, however i am not experienced, and just trying to find out the best way to do this.

Hi, can somebody please help, see previous post?

I almost got my new parts in , yet dont know how to mount them yet.
I especially do not understand how to fasten the new control arms, with weight of the car (load on the suspension)while the wheels are off. Do you use other jacking points, and if so which ones??

Put back your wheels and buy 4 ramps (or stack of thick woods) and slide them underneath 4 tires then lower the jacks (to raise the vehicle so you can slide under to tighten the control arm bolts to the car frame)

Update to this thread cause its a good thread. I too just ordered all control arms( 2 wishbones and 2 tensions )along with 2 outer tie rods. I will also be replacing the upper strut mounts while im in there. The Tension arms are listed under 06 model year but the factory part number does match. I will show a video of old part vs new. FCP is offering 15% discount and free shipping with their rebate code listed on their site. An all parts do have a limited life time warranty!

I will update once stuff comes in and Im ready to install!

The lifetime warranty is applicable only if the parts are installed by an ASE certified technician. If you install the parts yourself then it appears that you can buy a warranty for an additional 10%.

Well a friend and I did the install and it wasnt to bad. 3 hours.

I replaced the upper strut mounts one had a broken bearing, then replaced bump stops with spot oem's instead of non sports

The stock tension arms both had hairline cracks in them, drivers side was the worse

The control arms seemed ok but rod ends had a lot of slop in them

The tie rods were replaced and those had a lot of slop also

I will post pics tomorrow
