Changing the original steering wheel to MSport one!

Well, what is plug and play?
You would still have to disconnect the battery, dismount the airbag to open/fasten the tightening bolt and remove the wiring harness plug from the steering column. Taking the control module and the wiring harness was the easiest job in a whole project. And I consider this plug and play too.
But of course if you get a steering wheel with a control module then you skip that part.

By the way, my car is a 2004 model.

by plug and play I mean exactly that, you're just disconnecting the old wheel harnesses and connecting them to the new one. I'm just saying if you are going to buy a new one you might as well just get that part #, that's all.

yes. that wheel is a little different- no thumbgrips at 10 and 2 clock, only one seam at the bottom- but if you need heat that's the only choice. it might be a bit thinner, but due to the heating element, maybe not.

edit: I wonder what it is and figured it out. The trunk finisher, definitely .

Nice DIY - as always!

The 'M-Sport' Steering Wheel is excellent isn't it - I love mine - Looks & feels great IMHO! As my car is an M-Sport I had this installed from the factory.

Is your's the pre-LCI or LCI finish?

From the cars I've driven the pre-LCI M-Sport Steering Wheels were 'harder' leather. My LCI M-Sport Steering Wheel is much softer Leather - like Nappa. This feels outstanding to hold, my only issue with is that is has a tendency to mark / scuff very easily. I'm therefore always having to be extremely careful when getting in / out of the car to avoid scuffs. I don't think the pre-LCI ones will suffer from this?
