Nice DIY - as always!

The 'M-Sport' Steering Wheel is excellent isn't it - I love mine - Looks & feels great IMHO! As my car is an M-Sport I had this installed from the factory.

Is your's the pre-LCI or LCI finish?

From the cars I've driven the pre-LCI M-Sport Steering Wheels were 'harder' leather. My LCI M-Sport Steering Wheel is much softer Leather - like Nappa. This feels outstanding to hold, my only issue with is that is has a tendency to mark / scuff very easily. I'm therefore always having to be extremely careful when getting in / out of the car to avoid scuffs. I don't think the pre-LCI ones will suffer from this?
Thanks!

Yes the new steering wheel feels great!
It's a pre-LCI. There is a difference in pre-LCI steering wheels too. At least the back parts changed 09/2005. So mine is pre-09/2005.
To me the leather feels quite hard, like it was in my previous wheel too.

Notice that I changed the steering wheel and airbag only, not the controller box. It's still the same. I don't know do you need a reprogramming if you change the controller box...?

Thanks

No it will not (assuming you have the standard steering wheel). The shape of the airbag is completely different.

The standard:

Where else would it be mounted? Under your seat?
