Finally!
I've had the LEDs, reflective strip, and everything else for over a year and just barely had time to finally do this mod.
I enjoy the new look. Feels like I'm driving a different car.![Tongue](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/tongue.gif)
For my mod I decided to not install the reflective strip for the rear dials. I figure the "darkness" sort of gives the front of the dial more depth. The reflective on the dials I feel may cause the numbers to get lost or blend too much into the whole whiteness.
Also, rather than giving the needles the Sharpie treatment, I installed OEM M5 needles instead.
For those of you that are thinking about doing it, DO IT! Also here's a little tip. Trying to solder the new LEDs on is a pain in the a$$! What I did was use a length of thin piano wire or very thin rod and tape it over the LEDs along the ends. The piano wire will have some tension when the ends are taped down so that it will hold the LEDs in place so you can solder it. A plus side is that it makes for a nice flush solder connection. See the pic.

If the board is same size and it fits why it should not work? That white overlay I've posted looks like like dodge neon cluster.

no no no. 1 you have to reprogram chip that holds data. 2. you need to code it to your car specifics.
if you plug it it will light up but will not work properly

also I have noticed it is hard to see red needles in day time for that reason M5 cluster coded that way so the backlight is always on as soon as you start the ignition. this can be done on e60 clusters too it just need one line to be changed to aktiv with ncs expert
