hello there,
my cd drive in the center console above the nav dvd drive 'ate' a cd...
I am sure that there is a disk in the drive (I can not insert another one)
only the IDrive says there is no disk in the drive and will therefore not eject the disk
is there any way to trigger a manual eject without hitting the cd drive with a jackhammer?
car is a 2004 E61.

Hi Tom

Please try this before you take the "jackhammer" in use

Ig. key i pos. 1 , then press volum botten and both eject botten's at the same time for at least 20 sec. It should reset the M-ASK and at the same time eject any CD/DVD that might be in the CD/DVD-drive's.

If that fails close all doors , open trunk , take a key/screewdriver etc. and activate the trunk-lock ( car thinks that the trunk is closed ),now WAIT for ca. 30 minuts ( to the car have powered down ) then disconect the -(ground) pol. on the battery , wait for at least 15 minuts ( better20 than 14 minuts ) , now conect the - pol on the battery again , and then strigth away push the eject botton on the M-ASK.

Hope this solwe your problem , so that yor "jackhammer" not have to come in aktion
