It will need coding to your car as well.
Thanks Blood

Hmmm I think my worry is that my LMA currently doesn't have the welcome light nicht active / active option, so even if I update, I'm not sure it will allow the function to work, as SAS seems to have an updated LMA module and its not doing the lights as expected when the options enabled..

Worth a shot I guess but I think you need the LM2 module to get these working via coding..

yes I guess LM2 it is. I had thought that I read that BenAnd had done some hack for the LMA itself but he has confirmed that he too put in an LM2 to get his LCI lights done.

Car was updated (with ISTAp v2.38) by the BMW dealer in 09/2010, the only new option added was DRL's (low beam without rear lights) and MP3 enabled, where other dealers sayed it was impossible to do with 2003 M-ASK moddels.

They will keep updating ISTA, but no new updates for old models like the E60.

Has anyone done the LCI lights conversion (pre-LCI Bixenon AHL to LCI Bixenon AHL) and coded it themselves using NCS? What needs modifying and in what modules?

My car is build date 12/06 so has the later LCM, and the AHL modules on the headlights end in part number 312.

All the wiring is sorted, including the 2 wires from the back of the car to the LCM and swapping the 2 wires already on the LCM plug.

Thanks.

My Welcome Lights are working

The auto setting on the light switch did the trick. The lights are at the defaults right now - so I get the angle eyes, corner lights and plate lights fade in and out for about 30sec when the car is unlocked or the door opened.

d4rkchocolate has, you should ask him how he did this and what he changed on the LCM. Infact he has the LM1 and managed to get stuff working so on an LM2 it should be no problem at all.
