Weird. I took all my files from Progman and put them in NCS. Getting many errors. So still get the error and I decide to use Progman because I lost my FM (so I thought) and it encoded everything and now I have some new features! The radio shows real time info. I never listen to it but now it's more enjoyable when the song flashes across the screen and the presets actually have the names of the stations.

Understand this. Still I feel safer to take backup of full car incase I ever need to refer back to what it was before. Anyway, do you know why WRITE_FA wasn't persisted? Also I saw in CAPPL module all the options possible with any coding were present, like MP3_CCC has nicht_aktiv, extern and full, why all three? It should be just one which is enabled? How do I know which one out these three options are being used?

Share your analysis, I will dig deeper once I get chance.

I read this above " If you just process car with a blank .MAN it will deentire edited .Man file to code. What does that mean exactly? Do you open the man file and delete all the code stored to it? Then process car from that blank MAN file to the ECU? Is that the way to get it back to Orgi factory settings? Thanks

You probably have a profiling issue. As far as the managment file don't mess around with the stuff you're not aware of unless you can take the consequences !

Yes, open the management file and delete contents and then code a module and it will look toward the vehicle order to code.

Thnaks AchtungE60 for your response. I have been getting a faulty code on several ECU when I use my car back up .man file. At the point I want to just get coding back to factory settings. So I think that writing a blank man file to the whole car "process car" should reset all of the cars coding to factory. Do you thing this is the best way to do a whole car factory reset? Thnak you very much !

No writing blank man files are the not the best way to write the default values, This is what experts say I won't be able to defend this.

Use NCS expertprofile and code whole car, it won't mind if you have man file or not. It doesn't read man file it simply reset values based upon VO. This is the prescribed way to do it.

Hmm... I think I will start be trying to write the ECUs with coding faulty messages. Then resort to process car route. I am a newbie and may have jumped the the gun a little. The coding faults may be from a failed update I did to the ACSM in WINNFS. Would that cause several ECUs to reflect "coding is faulty" message?

In WINNFS Can anyone tell me what the update/file to write ACSM60 to ? ACMS60's Assembly # is 9125887 and it is set to 9172018 right now. The car is a 2010 528i E60N, production date was 09/09.

Thanks for the help !

Just code the unit in question. You do not have to process the entire car to adapt to the VO right now. If you write with a blank managment file and set it to get the FSW from the PSW and it doesn't find it, it will adapt to the VO for that specfic module.
With WINKFP, If it's reading a higher value than what it should be then perhaps it was flashed with the wrong software.
Where did you see that it's currently 9172018 and why do you think it should be 9125887 ?
Before doing anything you should take a snapshot of the car and all the UIF's.
