I assume you did this by reading ECU, backing it up then writing a blank then -re-reading? Curious to see if there's another way or if I am misguided.

You don't even need to be connected to the car or even own the car or the ECU to make a default trace. Do a find for my post on it

You could generate the tracefile yourself. Just set the VO how you want it, load up expert mode, load up the KOMBI module, click "basic functions", highlight "GetNettodatafromCBD" and click ok. Then go back to "basicfunctions", click "GetFSWfromNettodat", point it to "NETTODAT.TRC" and save the file as whatever you want to call it. Now you have a default FSW_PSW for that car's VO.
