Just got myself a 2005 E61 525d. Nice looking car with a few nice extras on!! 

However, I notice that around the rear 525d badge it looks like some of the lacquer was coming away and it was dirty around it. Anyway, I decided to remove the badges following the tips on the forums, and it looks like it had been debadged previously (badly) and then had them refitted.

I was thinking of leaving it debadged, but wondered what I can do about the lacquer missing. I?ve cleaned it up and T-Cutted it and the paintwork looks ok.

Any advice??

Clear coat is available in spray cans at the dealers that supply paint to the body shops. There is a special can used for "kut in" work.
