AUX Filter removal on 2007 with rear console input

Have any 2007 owners done this? I can't find the filter/resistor. I removed the rear console plate and air vent, it's not there that I can see. The only post I could find was a post from my530i. He said the filter would be right near the AUX jack. It's not. I took off the side carpeted console trim panel and I can see the wire loom but before I took my whole console apart I figured I would see if anyone has done it and could shorten the learning curve here.
Thanks-

Is this the way to get more volume out of the Aux input? I have to crank it now to hear anything...and then I forget and switch back to FM and get blasted.

More volume, more bass, better sound. There is a resistor in there to prevent a lound noise when connecting or disconnecting 3.5 plug, but it's not really needed and the benefits of removing it outweigh having it in there.
Now if we could just get someone who has done it to help us figure out where it is and the easiest way to get it out, I would be very grateful.
Thanks

I did a search...my530i supplied the following descriptive information on making the removal of the resistor.
1. Remove airvent
2. Use two steak knife and insert 1/2 way down on both side of rear wood trim to remove wood trim.
3. The cap/resistor is nearby the AUX connector

Then he adds: Pry the black cover out first, then airvent.

I hope this helps. I may do it myself. I guess you have to bridge the location where the resistor was, however.

This is a big bug of the system that each input source don't have their own volume settings, even my old TV had that feature. Anyway removing the resistors also doesn't help this situation.

ExGman- Read my post, I had my530i post instructions, only they are wrong, no resistor near jack.
