Hey guys i recently changed my vacuum pump due to leaking. I was leaking at the cover of the vacuum pump, the O ring was no good. Well, i installed the new pump and all is well. I found an O ring for the old pump and would be willing to sell it. All you would need is the 3$ O ring for the rear of the pump. Let me know if anyone is interested!

There is oil inside...it is what lubricates the inner parts of the pump (which is actually REALLY simple in design). There is a separable cover with 5 torx bolts sealed by an O ring. The O ring was the the cause of the leak.

I wonder if you could just remove the cover and seal with rtv sealant.

Hate to rehash an old thread but where did you get a replacement Front O-Ring for the vacuum pump? Do you have a brand and part number? How about size?

Thanks

in for this as well.

however i just ended up cleaning the oring and surfaces with brake cleaner, and coated the oring with rtv silicone. no more leaks.
