Any ideas?

Hi, my name is Sally and have just joined the forum. I have a 2004 Amethyst Grey 525d and am looking to upgrade the current 16" wheels to something more sexy. I cover a lot of mileage and am unsure of the ideal size to go to as am worried the bigger I go in size the less comfortable the drive will be. I would ideally like 20" as have spotted the ideal BMW wheels on ebay size 275/35/20 rear 245/40/20 front aspect ration 40 and 35. Any idea guys as don't know if this 20" wheel will fit without any modification on an E60 or will it look stupid? Any ideas most appreciated as being a typical female am relying on a male's opinion!!

First Sally, welcome to the Forum. You've come to the right place for answers to your questions. I don't know the exact info your looking for but while your waiting for someone who does to respond, try the search feature on the upper right of the screen. '20 inch wheels' will give you plenty of reading material while you wait.
Best of luck.

245/40/20 and 275/35/20 are not correct sizes for 20" wheels. Most people having 20" wheels use 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 tires. Also, it's real important you find out what the wheel offsets are. Depending on what the offsets are for the front and rear wheels you might need to roll the fenders.

Thanks for the reply, I will find out some more info. The things we do to ensure our cars look good. I recently tinted the windows they are so dark I couldn't see to reverse in the dark and consequently hit another car!! Parking sensors will be the next installation!!
