Great diy m8, good job I was really bugged about the voltage issues in those things and your tutorial put my mind at rest, I do however recommend just to be on the safe side once the lights are out unplug them it is a strange slider plug but u will digger it out if you play with it ( it is very easy). U can then even change the AEs comfortably, I know it took me 5 min once out for driver right side 5 min, the left passenger uk spec was 15 min cos the space was tighter to move around in and then I forgot to plug it in b4 wriggling it back into position which was annoying SO DON'T FORGET to plug it back In before wriggling it back into place ppl.

My LEDs are 7000k and look brilliant white with a hint of blue trust me most of you will want this temp and be happy with the results more pure white is 6000k but mine look White head on with a slight hint of blue from the side which looks good with the orange eyebrow.

Thanks again OP x

Im new to the 5 Series and all of its workings. But when you're doing this mod, you're not actually changing the ring, correct?
