Hi all,

Hope someone on here can help me out... im going mad trying to find the problem.

My car (E60 525d) was involved in an accident, which blew the drivers airbag and the seat belt pre-tensioners and the battery lead.

I have replaced all of these parts, and also the airbag control unit (out of another 5 series which had no airbag deployed), but i still have the airbag fault light on...

Does anyone on here know if there is something else that needs to be replaced if this has happened, or is it now just a case of having the control unit reset. 1 thing i have not changed is the coupler ring on the steering column... is this necessary??

Can someone who has TIS have a look to see what is says....

Many thanks in advance.
ta5mhu... i have the same problem and currently in the middle of replacing the seat belt tensioners and the battery lead... could you tell me how you did this or any info on where to locate the battery lead???.... definitely after replacing all parts you need to put the car on the diagnostics machine and clear the faults and have it re-read. i downloaded carsoft and in the process of clearing them myself after i replace the damage parts....
