Those of you who use an aftermarket Nav (GPS), where how did you run power to the unit? I was looking for a hardwire method, and couldn't find a clean solution.

My Ride: Estoril Blue 440i GC
Model Year: 2017
I mounted my Garmin just forward of the gear lever.
I bought a cheapo cigar lighter extension and wired it into the cars existing lighter. This means that the Garmin power supply (which is in the cigar lighter plug) goes into the extension which is all tucked up behind the trim panels. I can then leave the SatNav switched on, as the power to the car lighter gets shut off with the ignition. I drilled a small hole in the cubby to feed the Garmin wire through.
Do a search on my posts and you will see some pics of the installation.
