Are you sure you dont have foot well light?? You can tap it into anything that has lights when you open the door, the easiest one is foot well. If you just want it to be your driving light then tap it to your cigarette wire, but if you want to have it turn on and off when you lock your car you have to tap it in an interior light that turns on when you unlock your door.

It won't affect it at all right if I use a higher diode.
oh yeah that might be a little too little.. I used the 200V 1A diode. What you used is a 12V diode which is where that diode maxes out on. so if you run 12V through a diode designed for 12V it might get a little warm. better be safe and get the 200V 1A diode, which by the way is cheaper at $0.99 for the 2 pack lol

Definately no footwell lights - think it was an option here in UK. Only lights I can think of is the door light but don't know how easy this would be

Hi Guys,
Hate to be a complete moron when it comes to these cars but I do have a few quick questions. (I am new and have been reading ALOT so please don't kill me)
1) I have a 2007 525xi, no xeon, pre-lci this should work for me right?
2) What bulbs can I use to my the angel eyes brighter, I love the idea of using them as the DRLs as shown!

Thank you!

Also, as a second question, why couldn't you just wire directly to the switch and inject the signal for the "parking lights" instead of going out to the lights?

Really I thought foot well light would be standard already... That sucks, going through the door would be pain in the ass, because you have to take the door panel off. You can just connect it to the cigarette for driving light only I guess. instead of going through all that trouble.
