Sorry, no picture. I did this long time ago. Shouldn't be hard to figure out once you pull it apart.

I think you misunderstood me. If you don't have footwell lights, then what you would need to do is to route it to your come light, which you would hide it along the A pillar. There is no wire for you to tap into in the A pillar.

Great mod and relatively easy to follow. Works great! No error messages...don't forget your diode. 15 minute? LOL Not for this guy.

Thanks

My 1A 400V diode also gets hot after 5secs. I spliced the footwell with both the eyebrows an Angel eyes in 1. Could it be because the diode now has to both currents from EB and AEs hence it gets hot?

BTW to the guys who suggested using NCS for welcome lights, I've already had a look and the feature is not available on the earlier E60s to enable since I'm doing it this method.

Got it all fixed....What I need to to know now is, how did you get to the Cig wires?

ive had a bash at this and got it sort of working, i only get the outer ae and brows to come on. when i turn the side lights on the inner ae come on too.
i have a pre lci uk car halogen with led bulbs, they fade on/off fine the diode does not get hot and ive tapped the ae & eb on the wiring harness. is there another wire on the harness for the inner ae, i assumed they were on the same wire?

one quick question, on step 15 ! Do we wire tap the wire on POSITIVE of the foot light to the POSITIVE of the angel eyes ? Or do we need to tap positive and negative too ?
