i was wondering if anyone could help me out. im looking to use an add a circuit fuse tap to power up my navtv module. im looking for a fuse that turns on/off only when the ignition is on/off. i do not want it on constantly or to shut off when the car goes to sleep. i want it to be on/off only when the ignition is on with the car running.

i have installed this type of setup in my e90, but i was able to find a fuse slot that was only ignition on/off. i cant seem to find it on the e61 we have. on my e90 i used one of the dome light fuse slots. the dome light slots on the e61 seem to always be on. please advise as to what i should do.

also, my e90 navtv module only required acc and ground. the e61 navtv module i have requires acc and +12v. can i just combine those 2 together and put them into the fuse tap im looking for since i only want it on when the ignition is on? i dont want it constanly on.

thanks

You're looking for a T30G feed. Almost all the front fuse slots are all T30 and will be constantly on. I've only managed to find T30G in the back. If you are only ever going to use the NAV-TV when driving you might be ok with taking the lighter socket feed which comes on only during the engine running.

So you either need to power this from a T30G powered device (like the sunroof etc) or run a cable from the rear fuse box. See my rear camera thread for a hint.
