So this is an OEM part that allows you to watch stuff on the NAV screen? Pretty cool!
Correct.

Put everything back and pray that it all starts :-) There is a good reason why this DIY is not as detailed as my other ones. If you cannot understand what is done based on these pictures don't bother doing this at home. There are too many things that could go wrong or you could damage while trying this and its best to pay a dealer for the installation.

Couldn't agree more Bruce.

I have the same setup but still need to connect the tablet on the armrest to the video out from the ACM. However I would like to make it "smart" I would also like to feed the acm with signal from the tablet (which has a built in DVD player). That way you can watch TV on both monitors (via the DVB T connected to the ACM and can watch DVD via the tablet and have sound over the speakers. I need to figure out how the tablet can provide a signal and reaceive asignal with a simple switch. Any ideas ?

Do you know where I can just get the mount separately? Can you please provide some more detail about that? Maybe a picture of how it mounts to the armrest? Your project is hot.

There are 2 versions I think, do a search for "E60" in their site: http://www.brodit.com

Does anyone know the approx cost of the ACM here in the US? also, BMW dvd player and back up camera? (assuming i have BMW dealer install it for me since I'm sure they probably won't install 3rd party hardware)

i will most likely be purchasing a 2006 550 w/ NAV and Logic7, so i wanted to know the $$$ details before starting negotiations with the dealer.

also, this may be a dumb question but, if you opt to have tv installed, how are you able to pick up a tv signal especially since all tv is now only digital?? i.e. would you have to pay a monthly cable or satellite tv bill for your car? thanks!
