I did search, didn't see it. Sorry in advance if I overlooked it.

How do you remove the knob on a 530i 6-speed??? Looking to replace the knob and the boot.

OK found a thread. Appearantly you just "pull up really hard"..

It sits rather tight.
Just pull it hard straight up, do some small twitching, but no full twisting.

My Ride: 2004 530i premium package/active steering/auto sunshade/tiag/black dakota leather/logic 7 35% tint all around 19' DPE GT7

I find it easiest to put into 2nd gear and pull towards yourself, don't twist you will break the plastic piece inside and then the knob will be abel to spin freely.

yes, just pull straight up. Replaced the scratched up silver knob with a gorgeous dark wood/leather OEM unit. Matches the interior much better than what was on it.
