Default 2010 E60 Center Console

Hi Everyone. I am the new owner of a CPO 2010 535i.

The previous owner spilled some nasty musky smelling cologne in the center console try. I removed the small compartment inside the console (I guess it's some sort of cell phone tray) but the smell still exists. It must have gotten into the bottom of the console and now needs to be replaced.

I have removed the rear AC vents / power panel, and the two bolts that hold the lid onto console that that is as far as I got. I can't seem to get the lid completely off which I am assuming is what I need to remove to get to the bottom tray. Can you guys help me out? Thanks.

In the event you need to take the entire console apart, this link may help. https://5series.net/forums/diy-do-yo...cement-120792/
