Why are you bothering with a lighter socket at all. Strip the USB charger out and simply connect it directly to a 12v feed.
no no its not a specific charger its a actual usb port that plugs into the cigarette lighter I rather have it installed that way so i have an option to plug many different usb devices, i have in my mind a few things that i own that can plug into it (ipod, cellphone, blackberry gateway, gps. everything nowadays pretty much charges with a usb cable so i don't want to hardwire several different chargers for each device. So any pics
Can anyone help me identify a missing part, the 7 pin plug for the rear/boot sockets that Bruce has in his car, but I am missing.
Has anyone come across the same issue? its the X11011 plug in WDS but that plug doesn't match mine, mine is 7 not 12 pins.
Could not find the part anywhere in realoem/bmwfans.
Mine is the one circled in yellow below.

Part number printed on the plug is 6906564. But I can't seem to find that in realoem.
My guess is that you need 61136906580. But you are just going to have to buy that and confirm if that's the correct one.

Thanks Bruce will get that and look into it.
Any idea which pins from the 12 are the rear/boot socket ones?
