That's a very subjective subject. Ask 100 people, you will get 100 different answers. I use only Griot's garage products and my car looks in showroom condition, but I am sure there are dozens of other products that will achieve the same result. You can't go wrong with Griots, or Meguire, or Zymol, or even Blitz. The trick is to actually use the products and be consistent. As for the car wash, today car washes are not our fathers' car washes. Most of them use cloth brushes and some of them use no brushes at all. A good polish will remove swirls. G/L

I like Meguiar's and Lexol, thinking about getting some Griot's. Totally agree about the Armor-all. Prefer the subtle shine of higher quality products. Car washes, no way. If you can live with swirls, Turtlewax is fine I would guess. Have become a believer in yearly claying, swirl remover if necessary, polish and a finish wax.

+1  Consistent care care with correct techniques makes all the difference. As far as products go, most detailers will agree that Menzerna makes the best polishes. Then it is up to you to use natural products or synthetic products on your car to protect the finish. I use synthetic products because they last longer, but garaged cars might get the high quality carnauba wax treatment. Here is my detailer's website which has a carefully selected set of products with descriptions. Just click on leather or paint care to view different options. Lots of good info in there. detailer's product list |

Zaino is fine.
....but its a bit labor intensive as everything is done by hand. I found that Menzerna does a nice job on Jet Black, but there are a plethora of good products out there. Visit a website like autogeek.net that carries multiple product brands and has a ton of info on detailing your ride. |
use the blue quick car detailing polishing spray from Griots garage, by far the best I've ever used. makes the car look new in 10 minutes.

Take care when washing not to introduces swirls (google the two bucket method). Personally I use the Dodo Juice products because they're really good products for the price and smell lovely. :D
