The reason aftermarket pads have less dust is because they use a harder composite compound. You sacrifice a little braking power for less dust, but I have not observed any noticeable difference. BMW brake pads throw a lot of dust, but they sure do bite well!
Agree aftermarket pads produce way less dust. I had Rotora drilled/slotted rotors and Porterfield pads installed on my last car(C320). The difference in brake dust was huge, a lot less.

All wheel waxes/sealants are junk.
I just purchased SW Autobahn, Ill have to report back on how it works.
What I normally do is put a paint sealant on the wheels. That way no soap is needed when cleaning the wheels.

Interesting idea , how do you do it and how long does it last ??

A few weeks back I cleaned and waxed my 172 wheels, today was the first washing since.... I was quite amazed with the ease of washing all the brake dust and grime off, the best thing was that they were shining like new and really beaded the water. I know brake dust is harsh and I'll need to keep up the maintainance but if you are looking for a good solution this might be something to think about.... oh and I stole my 6 year olds foam paint brush to clean the tough parts ... worked like a charm
