Hahah I was going to say... I was freaken locked up in my apt with the windows closed for 4 days during that fire! Walked outside for 3 mins and you can feel it in your lungs... Raining ashes... thats how bad it was.

What have I done?
Switched to studded winter tyres, changed the window washer fluid with one that won't freeze, put the space-saver wheel and jack into the trunk.. and I'll polish it pretty soon, and treat it with AutoGlym's Extra Gloss Protection sealant. But I guess I've got the facilities to do that during the winter aswell. Also I ought to get some rubber floormats for the front, but that really isn't a big problem.

I got out of this the following points;
- change the tires,
- change the washer fluid
- a number of approaches for waxing and sealing
- rubber floor mats
- keep it in the garage
- convince my bride to let me keep my 10 year old 4 Runner that the 530 "replaced" and drive it in the snow instead.
- move to Southern California
- but don't move to San Diego
