I think for most of the novices on this forum a RO, or if they're willing to spend a little more, the Flex, is good step diving into the world of detailing. Products and process are next up for people to try and test out for themselves. For those out there that have been doing their detail jobs by hand these last few years, I'm sure they'll notice an immediate difference in the results when using a machine versus their arm.

Now that's not to say that every swirl mark and scratch will come out the first time around, but it's just a matter of them getting comfortable with the tools and products they now own. Once they become more comfortable after each detail, their process will change, thus giving off better results.

And yes I have burned paint with a PC using a 4 inch pad
I did it on purpose trying to see if it was possible!
Seriously?? How long does it take to burn the paint??
I thought DA polisher will never burn the paint!

what brand are you using? Cos most wax are just "wipe on, wipe off method" and not required the wax to cure.

My Ride: Living in Germany as an expat, this is the perfect opportunity to own the car of my dreams. I bought a new BMW E560 Individual in April 2007 and I have been in love with my M5 ever since! Where else can you experience the acceleration, speed and fabulous performance of this wonderful German engineering, but on the German Autobahns (almost with immunity for high speed as long as you slow down when there are limits). Fastest so far has been 293kmph (183 mph) but my M5 has much more left...I will get it to the limit of 330kmph (205mph) or more yet! Problem is it makes me want to drive everywhere possible at any oppotunity and I am rackng up the kilometers!

Hi guys,

Just received my new toy today , it's a Meguiars G220 240v (G110 for US).

It's a new version of porter cable 7424 but has slightly more powerful than the old one and has improved the On/Off switch, the material they use has improved as well. I haven't tried it yet (Cos of the aweful weather in here!) But will let you guys know what i think once i got time to play around.
