Using a blade on the paint is a BAD idea. You're more likely to scratch the surface. Chamois tend to strip wax away... making them a poor choice, as well.

For drying, only microfiber towels should be used.... with very light hand pressure. It's more work, but better for the paint. Besides, if your car has enough wax on it.... drying should be almost irrelevant. The water should bead up and roll off.

The blade actually works great but the car and the blade needs to be absolutely clean.

Using the chamois is a must overhere in the wintertime.

There is no other way to get saltmix (salt, sand, metallic parts from the studs and tar from asphalt) of.

But it does ruin the wax

Well I used the system today, I was a bit disapointed with the soap-sud aspect of the unit but the spot-free rinse worked great. Next time I will wash car with the two bucket method, and use the spot-free rinse from the unit. I still think its worth it even for just the spot-free rinse.

All of my friends have been using it with good results. So my friend gave me one for xmas. I've been using it with great results, though I dont use the soap. The water in Hawaii is bad so you always get water spots on the windows. The filter in the gun prevents that so it makes my detailing process alot easier.
If your water gives you water spots then I would highly recommend Mr. Clean.
